As a small part of Christ’s Body here in Winston-Salem, we are, by God’s grace, a church in the Anglican tradition devoted to:
Welcoming the lost to Jesus Christ.
Rooting disciples deeply in Jesus Christ.
Sending out disciples to make Jesus Christ known.
Christ Church’s Continuing Mission
Every year, we have had an organizing idea or yearly focus as a church. Indeed, our mission grows with each year. Mission statements from years past do not disappear; they become part of the Christ Church DNA.
Our theme for 2023 is Rooted in Christ; planted in Place. Paul expresses the heart of this theme in his letter to the Colossians: “To the saints and faithful brothers at Colossae…as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving” (Col 1:2a; 2:6–7).
