The Invitation | Isaiah 2
My child, come forth once again unto me.
Put down all the distractions handling you.
This is the season in which you must see
the light anew. The workers are still too few
For the harvest is great and the darkness will fail.
Give up your warring heart and frightened words
To me, the only one who will prevail.
I’ll give to humble hands the noblest part.
Come up to the mountain and I will be your shield.
My heart will teach your heart. You will know my ways
And walk in them surely to the end of your days
and watch peace like the dawn flow over the field.
Come walk among this earth that souls might flock
Unto the Word made flesh, their true bedrock.
