Children, Youth, and Families
Cultivating deep roots in Christ, for the glory of God and the life of our neighbors.
Come to Christ Church where children are welcomed into the life of God's church.

Sunday Mornings with Children at Christ Church
On Sunday mornings, you can expect to be greeted by a member of our Welcome Team when you come through the doors. They will be available to answer any questions you have and will do their best to help you feel right at home, even if it is your first time visiting with us.
You will be met with a worship that is rich, reverent, and rooted in the ancient traditions of the Christian church. In this worship, called the liturgy, your family will be invited to participate in every level of the worship as we offer our praises to God. We anticipate children being present in our worship service and your family will be met with a gracious and welcoming hospitality, even when children are having a difficult time.
After the service, you will be invited to join us for a time of hospitality where we gather together as a church with snacks and drinks for a time of fellowship and an opportunity to get to know those who are visiting our church.
During our worship service, we have childcare available for children up to the age of five years old. Children over the age of five are invited to join us in the sanctuary for our worship service.
While they are in the nursery, children will be cared for by our nursery workers and will have the opportunity to play, color, and read stories. Parents will be contacted if there child is needing extra support or is having a tough time.
Children will be picked up from the nursery when we do the announcement break in our service before we do communion.
If you anticipate needing childcare, you can use the link below to fill out our child intake form ahead of time.
We have several items available to help your children join with you in the worship service.
For our children that are younger than 6, we have Busy Bags available. These bags contain a variety of items that will help keep your children occupied and engaged during the worship service.
For our children older than 6, we have Liturgy Companions available. These are worksheets that help invite children into the worship service and encourage their participation. This includes questions related to the service as well as activity and coloring sheets.
These items can be found at the two main entrances to our sanctuaries.
If your child is having a difficult time during the service and you feel like their presence is too disruptive, you are welcome to step out of the service in either the narthex located at the rear of the church or in the main hallway which is located to the right side of the sanctuary.
If you have a nursing child or a child who needs to eat, we have a nursing mothers room located down the main hallway of our church. In the nursing mother's room you will find a private space, with some snacks and drinks, and perhaps even an opportunity for fellowship with another nursing mom.
We have Sunday school for all of our kids at Christ Church that is called catechesis. Our catechesis for children meet in the main hallways of our church on Sundays from 9:00 am to 10:15 am between our two services.
- For our children between the ages of 3-7, we have Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
- For children between the ages of 7-12, we have Junior Catechesis.
- For our children over the age of 12, we do not currently have a weekly catechesis. Instead we have Youth Catechesis once per month on Friday evenings.
If you are visiting, you are more than welcome to have your children come and join our catechesis time. We will get the oriented to the space and they will be able to jump right in.
Beyond our Sunday service, we have multiple regular fellowship opportunities at our church including, Men's Night Out, Women's Night Out, as well as our Family Gatherings throughout the month.
We also have a quarterly Family Ministry Night where we gather at the church as families to share a meal and reflect on family life through teaching and discussion.
Beyond this, we also have opportunities for further connections with Book Clubs, Life Groups, seasonal events, and
