Service Bonds | Philippians 2

Our common life together
weaves the threads of disparate parts,
taking the clashing shapes
and warring colors into a tapestry
divine, profound—a unity bound
in One, through One, for One.

Behind the scenes and out of sight
a thousand stitches holding tight
bear up a people in a time and place,
hold fast a vision of undying lands,
and signal something more than cloth.

By pouring forth in outward bent
our very selves through hands and eyes
and words and ears—the hearts and minds
our own and not our own take on a shape
much more than flesh and blood.
