Tithe Poem
Rise again, ye lion-hearted
Saints of early Christendom.
With the helping hand of Heaven,
Steadfast stand in battle bold!
O my God, I pray Thee,
In the combat stay me.
Grant that I may ever be
Loyal, staunch, and true to Thee.
Who Can Stand? | Revelation 7
Who can stand before the throne,
Before the face of God?
Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone,
The Shepherd with staff and rod
Anoints my head with the fragrant Name;
my forehead He does raise.
Belonging under his firm claim
my lips blaze forth His praise.
His staff and His rod and still waters,
Where'er He leads i go.
Vale of shadowed self He shatters.
Death takes the dolorous blow.
my feet He brings before the throne.
i dare to hold him fast.
He speaks my name, bone of my bone,
I shall never from here be cast.
O Self, do not forsake Him now.
He shall bear up through all.
To none else shall these frail knees bow.
By Name He sounds Our call.
