Twenty Somethings Camping Trip
To All Twenty Somethings! (give or take a couple years)
We are heading to the mountains in September for a weekend of fellowship and fun. Our home base will be a church campground located near Linville Falls, about 30 minutes south of Boone. Picture your church camp when you were about 11, and you'll have a good idea of our facility. We have simple bunkhouses with electricity and bathhouses with hot showers and flushing toilets! There is a rec hall, kitchen, basketball court, sand volleyball, corn hole, fire pits, fishing, etc. All you need to pack are your personal items, toiletries, and sleeping bags (or sheets and blankets.)
We will work together on teams for meals, activites, and cleanup. Hiking, games and puzzles, singalongs, fishing, firepits, or visiting Boone are all options! This area of NC is loaded with possibilites. Bring your ideas, games, friends, and instruments. A priest will join us on Sunday morning for communion before we pack up, clean up, and head home.
If you have children—bring them! This is a relatively easy place to manage with kids. The Ropers and their children will be joining us on this outing. We will likely have enough cabins (bunkhouses) to allocate one to each family who needs their own space. Let us know this is a need, and we will do our best to accomodate you.
This campground is accessible for those with disabilities. It's not exactly simple, but they have made accomodations so that it is doable. Reach out to me with any questions about accessibility.
The campground operates on donations. Suggested donation- $10 per person per night. If overnights are more than you want to take on, you can also join us for the day on Saturday. Again, just let me know to expect you so we can plan food accordingly.
