Fr. Benji originally began his career as a firefighter in Florida with aspirations of raising cattle before becoming a committed Christian. After transitioning to vocational ministry, he studied biblical languages and theology, with a focus on the Old Testament. He and his wife, Ashley, moved to Winston-Salem in July 2020, becoming a curate at Christ Church under the mentorship of Fr. Ben Sharpe. In January 2023, he was instituted and installed as the second Rector of Christ Church. Benji and Ashley have two children, Matthias and Theodora.
